In October 2013 Studio B1 at Victoria House in London played host to the Virgin 40th Anniversary Exhibition, a huge collection of memorabilia from the first 40 years of Virgin music. The colourful array included photos, merchandise, costumes, props and video exhibits featuring Mike Oldfield, The Sex Pistols, U2, The Chemical Brothers, The Spice Girls, Boy George, and many more.

Virgin used the venue to host their first ever live Disruptors event, Has Tech Killed The Music Industry?, and asked me if I’d also photograph the exhibition for them for their own archives. It was a rare opportunity to see so much of their history laid out, and a pleasure to both browse and photograph.

Here’s a selection of my favourite shots, which should give you a taste of just how extensive the collection is. Thanks for stopping by and I hope you enjoy the photos.
