Every April it’s time for one of my longest-standing clients’ People Awards, what they call their staff award ceremony. I love photographing these events because I’ve been working with them for so long I kind of feel like one of the team by now. I know a lot of their staff and it’s always inspiring to hear just how hard they’ve worked and how deserving every nominee is for each award, particularly their Pay It Forward awards for charitable work.
This year’s awards were held in The Montcalm Hotel Ballroom, and here’s some of my favourites from the evening.
