I was commissioned by Taylor Wessing to photograph their new series of corporate events for staff, alumni, and friends, called Lift Off. The series began with An Evening With Louis Theroux at The RSA in London.
In conversation with Maria McErlane, Louis spoke candidly about his career from his early steps as an interviewer to the highs and lows he has experienced at the top of his game, before indulging the audience in a far-reaching Q&A session. The evening continued downstairs in the RSA’s cellar bar with drinks and canapés.
The client requested documentary-style coverage, with a focus on candid interactions rather than posed group shots. This approach is my speciality as I’ve always felt these natural, spontaneous moments are the images that make the most impact when looking back on an event. Authentic coverage captures the personality and atmosphere of the occasion, reflecting the human side of a business rather than staged corporate perfection.
