I’m privileged to be a regular Royal Society event photographer, both for the Royal Society themselves and when third parties hire the venue for conferences and other events.
Labs to riches is an annual event bringing together figures from industry, academia, finance and government at an evening dinner celebrating the Royal Society’s support for industry and innovation. The speakers at Labs to riches 2020 included engineer and nuclear expert Dame Sue Ion, Royal Society president Venki Ramakrishnan, business executive Rick Haythornthwaite, and one of the ‘fathers of the internet’, the incredible Dr Vint Cerf.
As always I delivered a mixture of speaker shots, candid moments between guests, venue wide shots, and of course some behind the scenes moments too. The dessert in particular looked fantastic – an entirely vegan chocolate pudding with a berry mousse, freshly pumped into the serving glasses by the talented Royal Society catering team. Delicious!
