A 60th Birthday at the Sheraton Grand Park Lane

Michael was THE very first client I ever had as a professional London event photographer, and over a decade later I’m proud to say he’s still one of my best clients. So it was my absolute pleasure to capture memories at his 60th birthday party at the Sheraton Grand in Park Lane.

Michael LOVES a party. As CEO of the company he founded their annual parties were almost always themed and fancy dress, so I shouldn’t have been surprised that his 60th was all about movie and television legends – and wow, people really made an effort! See how many you can spot…

Another wonderful thing about Michael is he’s incredibly loyal, so this party was organised by his long-time event planner David at Ex Events, and if you’re looking for a party planner yourself I can highly recommend them!

David had masterminded a circus theme for the main room, and guests were met by ‘paparazzi’ photographers at the entrance, who really helped set the atmosphere for the evening by making a celebrity-tastic fuss over every guest as they arrived, while I snuck around in the background photographing them photographing the arrivals…

And later on the dance floor was powered by the amazing Vince Dunn Orchestra, while late night entertainment was courtesy of the Rockaoke band – karaoke with a real live rock band, definitely the best way to do it!
