Eloping on your own and having the wedding party back home afterwards is very popular these days! Laura and Matt got married far away from London, somewhere far sunnier with far more beautiful beaches and oceans than we typically have access to here in London, and who can blame them! But when it came time for their wedding reception, they came back to London and took over the entirety of The Lordship in Dulwich one Saturday afternoon, invited all their family and friends to celebrate with them, and invited me to be their elopement party photographer!
Laura had actually met me a while back at a wedding reception for her friends Emily and Dylan, who just like Laura and Matt had eloped a few months before, so they already knew I’d be perfect for them as they wanted reportage-style photographs of everyone enjoying the party, which is exactly the sort of event photography I love. And The Lordship was such a great venue for a knees-up, full of gorgeous natural light all through the day, then lit with twinkling fairy lights and candles by night.
