Hospitality businesses don’t get to have their Christmas party at the same time as the rest of us, as Christmas is one of their busiest times of year, so they often have their party in January instead. My client hired the whole of Swingers West End, one of the best party venues I’ve been to. Move over Birdies, Swingers West End is waaay better! As well as a really fun crazy golf course there’s dozens of fairground game machines, two bars, a karaoke room, and loads of fantastic food stalls including my favourite, Pizza Pilgrims… classic party stuff!
Their events team had also put together a ‘wheel of fortune’ for their raffle draw – if your ticket was drawn you spun the wheel and the prizes were AMAZING, including a 50″ TV!! Pretty cool…
The brief: to capture all the fun of the party for their archives, as candidly as possible, including lots of prize-winner photos from the raffle and ‘wheel of fortune’ they’d built for the occasion. No posing required although plenty of the guests happily got their team together for a quick snap.
The shoot: originally just two hours on a Sunday evening, but the raffle and ‘wheel of fortune’ was so much fun they asked me to stay for an extra hour to get more of it – no problem!
