[dropcap]A[/dropcap]lethea was a guest at a private event I photographed for the Collins family at LSO St Luke’s last year, and got in touch after visiting the Collins’ home and seeing their walls and mantlepiece decorated with my prints from the event. This is why I really love being a family historian photographer: I get to record a family’s special occasions in a way they’ll be able to enjoy forever, and it’s so satisfying to know they’re still loving their photos months and even years later.

Alethea was planning her own 50th birthday party at London’s Home House and wanted me to document the evening for her. The theme was Goldfinger, and there were some very interesting takes on it – I was especially impressed by the lady in the gold body suit! It was also my first time at Home House and I especially love their staircase – there’s some beautiful portraits to be had there.

Here’s some of my favourites from the evening, and a premium HD slideshow I made for Alethea to enjoy while I uploaded her private gallery. If you like what you see and would like to book me to photograph your own private or family event you can find out more about my event photography here.
