Vision Hall in King’s Cross opened in summer 2025 as a newly restored, Grade II listed event venue. Formerly Camden Town Hall, the building has undergone a seven-year refurbishment led by Purcell architects, with interiors by Tom Dixon, AV support from Pixl, and catering by Rhubarb. The result is a large-scale, design-led venue suited to high-end corporate events, conferences, and evening receptions.

I was commissioned to provide full-day Vision Hall event photography for one of the venue’s first corporate bookings: a technology-focused networking and conference event, followed by an evening dinner. I captured the event in my documentary style as it unfolded from morning setup through to evening awards, live music, and guest speaker.

The Vision Hall layout lends itself especially well to all-day conferences. The expansive lower level works effectively as an expo and networking space, with room for sponsor stands, catering and light dining, and informal breakout conversations. Upstairs, the main hall retains much of the original civic architecture, combining generous floor space with a wide, deep stage and high-resolution LED screens.

From a photographer’s perspective Vision Hall offers a mix of architectural detail, scale, and controlled lighting environments. There’s interesting angles and opportunities across the entire space, including access to balcony views in the main hall from two whole sides of the room, making for comprehensive corporate event coverage.
