My mum has always loved the Liberty shop in London, from the products it stocks to the wonderful architecture of the building itself. So when I was asked to photograph an corporate dinner party being held in the main hall I was excited to be there after hours, and pleased to add ‘Liberty London event photographer’ to my portfolio!
The Agency 92 production was for guests of a law firm, starting with a drinks reception in the jewellery department, before moving through to the main hall to sit down for dinner. Catering was by Tiramisoo, normally led by executive chef Danilo Cortellini, and for this event they had a guest chef joining them to oversee the menu and service, Giancarlo Perbillini from Italy.
As well as getting to photograph an event at the prestigious Liberty London, I also got to taste some incredible food! I never expect to be fed at a small event like this one, but I’m very pleased to say Danilo made sure I got a plate of everything they served, including the most delicious risotto I’ve ever tasted, and some divine veal fillet – so generous of them, thank you!
