I was commissioned by my clients to provide corporate event photography at their end-of-year reception at The National Gallery, a spectacular venue that’s high on my list of favourite London event photography venues. Following drinks, canapes, and a short speech guests were invited to explore the Frans Hals exhibition and I had free reign to wander and make some great pictures of people enjoying the space after-hours. There’s a wonderful quality to the light in the exhibition spaces, and I love how cameras capture the pockets of light and swathes of shadow, isolating people in front of the artwork they’re appreciating. I could definitely spend all night making those sorts of images.
