A few frequently asked questions
Can we meet you first?
Definitely! Let’s meet over a coffee, or something stronger, and you can tell me all about how you met and who proposed, and all your plans so far. I’ll take you through the day with a few of my favourite albums so you can get a sense of how your own wedding story might look, and you can ask me anything you like (except my collar size, I keep forgetting…).
What happens on the day?
We’ll work out a schedule in advance, then on the day I’ll arrive early to say hello, and you can pretty much leave me to it after that. Apart from your formal portraits (if you’d like them) nobody needs to pose for the camera. Just relax, enjoy yourselves, and soak up all the love and happiness for your own memories.
What happens after the wedding?
I’ll start processing your photographs and creating your online Photofilm and Gallery, and that usually takes a month or so. Then I’ll start designing your album, and the finished book will be in your hands a few weeks after you approve the final design, along with a download or boxed USB of your digital negatives.
Can our guests see the photos?
Absolutely. I’ll upload all the finished photographs to a private online gallery and you can either ask your guests to pre-register so they get an email when it opens, or you can send out the link and password yourselves when you’re ready. Your guests will also be able to order their favourites as prints direct from the gallery.
Let me make your wedding album for you
Your wedding photos are made to be loved and enjoyed, not just in the weeks after your wedding but for your entire lifetime ahead – and even longer! I think the best way to keep those memories safe and close to hand is to get them off your hard drive and bring them all together in a beautifully designed hand-crafted book, something you can curl up with on the sofa whenever you like, and something that’s certain to become a family heirloom treasured by generations to come.
You’re welcome to make your own album, but in my experience after the wedding real life gets in the way and sadly most couples never quite get round to it… but that’s where I come in. I’m intimately familiar with your entire wedding gallery, I’ve got years of experience using professional album design software, and I reckon I’ve got a great eye for how to tell a good wedding story. All you have to do is approve the design, and I’ll take care of everything else for you.
I have simple tastes and high standards, so my Fine Art wedding albums are created for me by the renowned Folio Albums. Based in Yorkshire, they hand-craft every book with hand-cut leathers and fabrics, and eco-friendly materials wherever possible. It’s probably the best book you’ll ever own, and a sheer delight to hold and enjoy. I’ll bring some samples when we meet so you can fall in love with them yourself!
And if you’ve got a space to fill on your mantlepiece you can add boxed sets of six gorgeous Fine Art prints, with a 2″ card mount and ready to frame. They’re also made by Folio, and a world apart from the quality of prints from the high street.
