Simply natural wedding photos

Hi, I’m Owen (that’s me in the wee picture over there) and I love candid, documentary-style photography, so that’s what I specialise in!

Your wedding photographs are probably the most important and longest lasting mementos of a day in your life you’ll want to remember forever, but making them shouldn’t be stressful! I want you to forget I’m there – just relax and enjoy your wedding, and once the dust settles and the dress is packed away you’ll have hundreds of natural, candid photos to bring it back to life whenever you want, safe inside a beautiful book handcrafted to your precise specifications – it’s really nice…

I absolutely love what I do and I’d love to meet you and hear about your plans. Scroll down for my wedding portfolio and more about how it all works, and get in touch at the bottom of the page if you’d like to know more – and thanks for visiting!

“It is impossible to summarise the depth of Owen’s talent. He is simply an exceptional photographer with an incredible eye for detail … so discrete that half the time you don’t even know he’s there. Our guests said Owen’s pictures were the best they’d ever seen and we still can’t believe our luck he was available to capture our special day!”Tina & Shervin | Richmond Wedding

“My fiancé and I hired Owen after reading boat loads of amazing reviews about him and his work. They’re all true! He is an extreme professional, has a positive attitude and takes beautiful candid photos. Both us and our guests love the pics! Thanks again, Owen!Julie & Andrew | Chelsea Wedding

How it works

Can we meet you first?

Definitely! Let’s meet over a coffee, or something stronger, and you can tell me all about how you met and who proposed, and all your plans so far. I’ll take you through the day with one of my favourite albums so you can get a sense of how your own wedding story might look, and you can ask me anything you like (except my collar size, I’ve got no idea…).

What happens on the day?

On the day I’ll arrive early to say hello, then I’ll get started and you can pretty much leave me to it. Apart from your formal portraits, if you’d like them, nobody needs to force a smile or pose for the camera. I want you to just relax, enjoy yourselves, and soak up all the love and laughter for your own memories.

Do you do family group portraits?

If you’d like some I’m happy to arrange them with you, but it’s also no problem if you’d rather not – although I guarantee your parents and grandparents will absolutely love them… If you’re nervous about posing, don’t worry, you don’t have to stand rigidly and say “cheese”, I’ll work with you to make some lovely natural images without any fuss.

What happens after the wedding?

While you’re honeymooning I’ll take a few weeks to process your photographs, and create your online Photofilm and Gallery to share. Then I’ll start telling the story of your day in your album, and the finished book will be in your hands along with a beautiful boxed USB of digital negatives a few weeks later, to cherish for the rest of your lives together.

Albums, prints and thank-you cards

Nobody regrets getting an album: fact! It’s probably the best investment you can make in your photographs, a physical memento you and your family can pull off the shelf and leaf through for years to come to keep the memories alive.

My Fine Art wedding albums are ethically handcrafted in Yorkshire by the renowned Folio Albums, and each book is a delight to hold, a classic way to enjoy your photos and a gorgeous family heirloom.

I also offer boxed sets of six gorgeous Fine Art prints, and beautiful wall prints framed in dark reclaimed wood, also handmade by Folio. And for after your wedding I offer Thank You cards and postcards with your choice of photo.

All my albums, fine art prints and thank-you cards are available with a discount if you include them with your collection when you book, but you can also order them any time after your wedding too.

“I can’t recommend Owen highly enough! My husband and I were looking for something a little different, and Owen’s natural, photojournalistic style was just perfect! Owen was a friendly, professional and unobtrusive presence and captured so many happy faces, beautiful details and special moments. A fantastic photographer!”Emma & Dominic | Barbican

Other options include affordable 6×6 albums for parents (very handy!) plus fine art prints and handmade frames to fill a spot on your wall, and bespoke thank-you cards for your guests.
